One of the magical things about Basel is that it lies on the border of three countries—Switzerland, Germany, and France. Basel dwellers often forget how amazing it actually is—especially that crossing the border is a non-event. One of the best views of Basel is from a hill called Hornfelsen, which is technically in Germany. I biked my way up the hill one Sunday afternoon this April, and this is what I saw.
